Christmas Tree 2008

Our annual Christmas tree hunt was, unfortunately, scrapped this year. We had big plans to go out yesterday and hunt for the perfect tree but it did not happen. We are all a little sick and through a variety of circumstances decided to just buy a tree in town--GASP! We were pretty dissappointed to do this because it is our own little family tradition to go out into the boonies and search and search and search while children cry and than finally settle on some charlie brown tree because we can't handle it any more. Not this year. We went to the Christmas tree lot in town and Logan had the best time ever. He ran through the trees and was hiding and laughing and having a great time. Go figure. It snowed during the day which made it feel more like Christmas.

It is one of our favorite things each year to pull out our small collection of ornaments and remember each one. I am sure it will become more and more enjoyable as our kids get older. Logan's favorite ornament this year was the John Deere Tractor ornament.

The tree is beautiful! We are used to what we grab in the woods so to have a perfectly uniform, full tree is quite a treat. I have plenty of branches this year for all the ornaments!!!!

We bought one this year too. It smells so good but it took forever to get it straight. Jake was a little upset that I made him reposition it a few hundred times. Did you know I have two babies at my house?
