Ahhhhhhh, Summer!



I am thoroughly enjoying my time with the kids this summer. Today we had a picnic in the back yard. It was the perfect sunshiney day. After we ate we layed out on the blankets and I read Logan the story of David and Goliath from a new set of bible story books. He loved the pictures and the intensity of the story. At first he thought Goliath was really cool because he was big and strong but by the end he saw that David was the true hero because he was young but still brave and trusted the true God of Israel and ended up defeating him with just one stone!

We have been enjoying taking care of the garden, riding bikes, swinging at the park, playing in the rain, drinking smoothies, chasing squirrels, watching birds, planting flowers, sipping iced lattes (okay, that's just mom), blowing bubbles, playing in the dirt, playing with the neighbor kids, eating ice cream cones, and reading good books from the library. This is the life!
